EN GARDE! Belien vs. Peters on the Fate of Europe's Muslims, Round 2![]() Paul Belien, editor of The Brussels Journal, sharply criticized a column by Ralph Peters published in the New York Post last week. Mr. Peters responded to Belien’s article with an extended comment here on Pajamas Media. Here Mr. Belien replies to Mr. Peters’ objections. * * * * * November 30, 2016.
Last October, during his successful re-election campaign, U.S. President Ralph Peters declared that France and other European countries with similar Fascist regimes belong to the most horrible “axis of evil” the world has ever witnessed. He said that America would not stand idly by while Europe “resumed its historical addiction of mass extermination.” In his last election debate with Pat Buchanan, the candidate of the isolationist America First Party, Peters said: “I have no difficulty imagining a scenario in which U.S. Navy ships are at anchor and U.S. Marines have gone ashore at Brest, Bremerhaven or Bari to guarantee the safe evacuation of Europe’s Muslims.” Peters was re-elected with an overwhelming majority in a landslide victory, defeating Buchanan in every state, except New Hampshire where Governor Mark Steyn, a well-known Islamophobe, spoke out in favour of Buchanan. Last week, The New York Post asked the President in an exclusive interview where the European Muslims would be evacuated to, since the governments of Morocco, Algeria, Turkey and other countries, where the parents and grandparents of the European Muslims originally come from, have all turned down the suggestion that they take in the fugitives. Only Libya has declared its willingness to establish refugee camps for European Muslims. President Peters avoided answering the Post’s question directly, but said: “America is a great country. The United States attracts the quality. American Muslims have a higher income level than our national average. We hear about the handful of rabble-rousers, but more of our fellow Americans who happen to be Muslims are doctors, professors and entrepreneurs. The American dream is still alive and well, thanks: Even the newest taxi driver stumbling over his English grammar knows he can truly become an American.” Pundits assume that the President’s answer implies that Washington is willing to grant access to a significant proportion of the European Muslim fugitives. An anonymous source at the State Department, however, confirmed to Fox News that the U.S. government has asked Israel to take in the major share of Muslim fugitives. Secretary of State Nancy Pelosi, who is in Jerusalem at the moment, departs to Tripoli tomorrow to welcome the first fugitives ashore. Libya announced last week that it is willing to allow the U.S. Navy to transport the fugitives to Tripoli, on condition that Washington pay Tripoli 50,000 dollars for every fugitive the Americans bring to the country. Meanwhile the White House is confronted by serious problems on the domestic front. Immigrant youths in the Bronx have burned on average 100 vehicles each night during the past three months. The NYPD says it is no longer able to secure law and order in the New York suburbs. President Peters, however, told The New York Post that he thinks the police reports are exaggerated. “The jobless and hopeless kids in the suburbs may burn a couple of cars, but we’ll always have Manhattan,” he said. * * * * * * Back to November 30, 2006. Earlier this week I reacted to Peters’ piece with a riposte at Pajamas Media. Mr Peters felt compelled to comment, responding to a blog for the first time ever. Like Mr Peters I am always delighted when I anger flagrant bigots. Other commentators, however, have asked me to address Peters’ prediction that fascism is on the rise in Europe. As I have indicated, the above scenario is completely ridiculous, including (according to me – and I am living and working in Europe, while Peters is safely in the U.S.) the assumption that the European indigenous people will turn Fascist and start exterminating the Muslims. The only Fascism I see in contemporary Europe is “Islamo-fascism.” Peters refers to the Front National in France. He writes that “Europe’s Muslims are living on borrowed time” because “a third of French voters have demonstrated their willingness to vote for Jean-Marie Le Pen’s National Front – a party that makes the Ku Klux Klan seem like Human Rights Watch.” Last Spring, Le Pen’s Front National (FN) was in turmoil over rumors that Le Pen wants to reach out to Muslims. Le Pen is a shrewd politician. Having noticed the growing impact of the Muslim vote in the elections in neighboring countries, leading to the electoral stagnation of so-called “Islamophobic” parties, there are indications that he is willing to adapt to the demographic realities and welcome rightist Muslims in. Paradoxically the latter are today supporting the European left. If there is any danger that the FN, or other far-right groups (such as German Neo-Nazis, who sympathize with Palestinian terrorists), become involved in ethnic cleansing, it will not be a case of the indigenous Fascists going after the Muslims, but rather of the Neo-Nazis joining the Muslims when the latter go after the Jews. Peters warns that “Europe’s Muslims are living on borrowed time.” I fear Europe’s Jews are living on borrowed time. I believe, like Mark Steyn (though Europeans do not need Steyn to see what is going on), that the fate of the old continent will be decided by its demographics. The ageing and dwindling group of indigenous Europeans will not exterminate the young and growing group of Muslim immigrants. When it comes to fighting, old people are no match for youngsters. The only way for an older generation to exterminate a younger one is through abortion. That, unfortunately, Europe has done – with its own children. Paul Belien is the editor of The Brussels Journal ——— Comments (10)OmegaPaladin :MikeT :I think you greatly underestimate the strength that can be brought to bear by a coordinated, well-armed military unit against a significantly larger civilian opposition. 100 US special forces riflemen killed around 1,000 (or was it 2,000) Somalis with only the light arms they had at their own disposal in the chaotic, confused and completely unsupported battle of Mogadishu. Now imagine what 5,000 French soldiers armed to the teeth, coordinated and supported by air and sea power, possibly with armored ground support could do. Say what you will about past French military actions, but my money would be on the French soldiers who have been told to wipe out the Muslims, not on the Muslims. I think it is entirely realistic that if a civil war breaks out between the native Europeans and the immigrants that the native Europeans would win a decisive victory. 5,000 French soldiers could easily waste 50,000 Muslim civilians in a matter of several hours in an urban battle. If the full weight of the military is brought to bear, along with the police and state-supported militias, it would simply leave these countries battered and bruised shells. edl :Commit the French military to subdue the local Jihadists? I read somewhere that 12% or more enlistees in the French Army are Muslims! Pastorius :A quote from Paul Belien (as interviewed in a Vlog by Atlas Shrugs): "What I don't understand about the Europeans is that they don't fight back (against the Muslims). And I think this is because they have grown up with this welfare state for almost three generations. They depend on the state for everything. And, they don't know the virtue of self-reliance anymore. They don't defend themselves. I'm pessimistic about Britain as well. But, in Britain we have the hooligans ... They've lost their culture as well, but they fight. They still have that British fighting spirit. They don't like the Muslims. Maybe the Brits can pull their act together."
Here's the link to the video at YouTube: Not a reporter :The real enemy in all this is the leftist media and the so called "human rights" groups which cry bloody murder anytime one talks about the danger of Islam in Europe. Whatever solution one will come up will have to take into account the leftst media and neutralize its influence in some way. Terry Crane :Dar Paul, I deeply respect your position and your logic. In particular, I value your observation that ultra-Right are natural allies of Islamo-fascists and perhaps puzzled why aren't they invited to the party. However, history convinces me that an opposite evil force is paramaunt for a self-inflicted collapse of a civilised country. Yes, 33.1% of Germans voted for Hitler, yet 16.9 voted for Communists at the same 1932 elections. Earlier Russian Nazi ("Black Centuria") done plenty to boost Bolsheviks' numbers. The problem with Peters is not his prediction of the rise of "white" Nazi, but rather a conclusion he makes - that we shouldn't fight Islamo-fascism. Just the opposite, his article provides another reason to fight Islamo-fascism to its full descruction. John :It dosent take a well-armed military PrivatePigg :My guess would be that Europe goes the road of "Eurabia." Europeans are like Maximus's army in Gladiator - fat and bored. They don't have children anymore, because its hip to stay single and live "sambo" your whole life. No one has a work ethic, or a drive to fight for anything, because the concepts of personal responsibility and individualism have been eroded by the concept of "the state." We've all met those children who have grown up completely coddled their entire lives by rich, doting parents. They can't tie their own shoe by the time they are 30. They become so used to having everything done for them, they either forget how to do it themselves, or they never learn in the first place. That's Europe. Plus, and as the pundits above mention (while seemingly ignoring the implications), the only people who might stand up and fight for Europe will be the Fascists and racists. The debate seems to be centered around whether it will or will not be too late to save Europe by the time the Fascists go Holocaust on the new Muslims. But does it matter? If the "new" Europe will be a Fasicst one, then Europe is as equally lost. Again, I need to read Mark Steyn's book "America Alone." From what I understand, it predicts America will be alone in fighting for decency, democracy, and common goodness. I don't doubt it. The age of political correctness has engulfed Europe. There is no longer a right or wrong, just relativity. Murder is no longer plain wrong, it "depends on the circumstances" (i.e. the murderer had a tough childhood and just needs counseling). Rape is no longer plain wrong, it also "depends on the circumstances" (i.e. he was abused as a child, you wouldn't understand). Bullshit. It's wrong either way. Rape and murder are wrong. The rule of law is right. Totalitarianism is wrong, democracy is right. The subjugation of women and "non-believers" is not a "cultural difference" relative to "where you live," it's wrong. If Europe cannot find its voice, and can only be saved by the Fascists, then it is already lost. Bob :Its funny listening to all these gung ho tough guy americans.Where were you when millions of mexicans were marching on your citys. SailFree :Perhaps not strange that the right of one group and left of another join forces. I recall Pat Buchanan chose a socialist as a running mate! Comments have been archived for this page. |

Old people cannot exterminate youngsters? This is a different time, and it does not take superior physical conditioning to hold off the barbarian hordes. Sheer numbers favored the Zulus at Rorke's Drift, and it didn't do them much. Think of the same situation with Israel. Superior technology unleashed trumps the horde effect. The West is supremely good at mass slaughter in a mechanized fashion, but we generally don't have reason to use it on our own population.
There is also a further option to consider. If France is overrun by Islam, then they could obliterate Mecca and Medina with thermonuclear fire, hit Middle East desalination plants with naval weaponry, etc. Without our Western technology, they will be crushed and destitute.
There is even the matter of the other forces in the area. Who knows , a Polish (armored) cavalry commander could once again ride to the rescue of Vienna.
Fundamentally, it boils down to a question of will. At what point will the Europeans develop the will to fight back?
I'd prefer a Europe that has finally snapped and exterminated its Muslim population to some Eurabian nightmare. It is not an insult to Europeans, but rather in their praise, that I say that they would be able to use all resources in a last stand for civilization.
